Stan Kitzman, a Republican who has represented Texas’s 85th House district since 2023, used his social media accounts this week to highlight several issues and events important to his district and the state.
On October 15, 2025, Kitzman recognized local economic organizations, posting: “It’s Chambers of Commerce Week in Texas. THANK YOU to every chamber member, staffer, and volunteer working to keep Texas, and especially House District 85, growing! Our local chambers play such a vital role in keeping our small towns and communities strong. They’re the backbone”.
The following day, Kitzman addressed agricultural concerns in the region. On October 16, 2025, he wrote: “It was an honor to welcome Chairman @RyanGuillen and the House Agriculture & Livestock Committee to El Campo earlier this month for a public hearing on two critical issues facing Texas agriculture — the new world screwworm and the immediate crisis in our region caused by the rice”.
Later on October 16, 2025, Kitzman shared news of a political endorsement: “I am proud to have the endorsement of Senator @tedcruz. Sen. Cruz is a true conservative warrior who never backs down in the fight to defend our values. I’m honored to have his support as we continue working to secure the border, cut taxes, and protect Texas families!”.
Kitzman was elected to the Texas State House in 2023, succeeding Phil Stephenson as representative for District 85. He has used his platform to emphasize economic development, agricultural challenges, and conservative policy priorities in his communications with constituents.
