Stan Kitzman, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent Texas’ 85th House district, has recently highlighted his legislative efforts on social media. In a series of posts, Kitzman detailed his involvement in bills related to state security, privacy rights, and abortion regulations.

On August 28, 2025, Kitzman posted about participating in a bill signing event with Governor Abbott: “I was honored to join Governor Abbott as he signed into law three critical bills for the security of Texas’ future:

Banning hostile nations like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea from buying Texas land
Criminalizing transnational repression so foreign regimes cannot”.

The following day, on August 29, 2025, Kitzman shared his support for Senate Bill 8: “Proud to co-sponsor and vote for SB 8, the Women’s Privacy Act. Texans know women deserve safe, private spaces. This bill protects privacy, dignity, and safety across our state.”

Later that same day, he announced the passage of another piece of legislation in the Texas House: “The Texas House just passed HB 7, the Women & Children Protection Act.

As co-author, I’m proud we’re keeping abortion-inducing drugs out of Texas and standing firm for life.

Now it heads to the Senate. #txlege #ProLife”

Kitzman’s recent activity comes after his election to the Texas State House in 2023 when he replaced Phil Stephenson as representative for District 85.
