Stan Kitzman, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing District 85 since 2023, has used social media to highlight recent legislative developments and political positions. In a series of posts from early August 2025, Kitzman focused on election integrity measures and party unity within Texas politics.

On August 1, 2025, Kitzman posted: “Governor @GregAbbott_TX signed two key election integrity bills at the Texas Republican County Chairs Convention — a HUGE step forward in keeping our elections secure and trustworthy!”

The following day, August 2, he reiterated his support for Governor Abbott and his colleagues by stating: “Proud to stand with Governor @GregAbbott_TX and fellow legislators to get this done. We’re committed to delivering real solutions that protect Texas families and property.”

On August 3, Kitzman addressed Democratic lawmakers’ potential absence from legislative proceedings: “If Democrats skip town to block the will of the people, they shouldn’t just be chased down; their leadership should be stripped of their vice chairmanships, fined to the fullest extent, and held accountable under every rule in the book. If you’re not on the Floor, expect a knock”.

These comments come as part of an ongoing debate over election legislation in Texas. Kitzman’s statements align with broader efforts by state Republicans to enact new laws intended to address concerns about election security.

Kitzman was elected in 2023 to represent District 85 in the Texas State House after succeeding Phil Stephenson.
