Daikin Industries has begun the process of reopening its technology plant in Waller.
Community Impact Newspaper reports the Daikin Texas Technology Plant has restarted its engineering labs, logistics, fabrication and assembly operations. The plant plans to be fully operating by April 29.
“We will continue to do everything we can to minimize the impact of this pandemic on our employees, our customers, our suppliers and our company,” the company said.
The company has implemented a number of precautionary measures since it closed at the beginning of the month after two workers tested positive for COVID-19. Among these measures are performing temperature checks for employees, supplying employees with masks, increasing the use of staggered start times, and ensuring social distancing on the assembly line.
“Like most every company in America, we will be operating differently and making adjustments on a regular basis to adapt to changing circumstances and the best guidance of health professionals and government officials,” Daikin said in a statement provided to Click2Houston.
