Memorial Super Neighborhood issued the following announcement on May 4.
I appreciate Mayor Turner providing 5,000 additional face masks to our office in hopes that any residents needing or wanting them are able to obtain appropriate facial coverings.
It is critical these masks are distributed to the most vulnerable residents in District G - this includes the elderly, those with pre-existing medical conditions, and those who cannot afford to purchase masks for themselves or their family. To that end, I will not be haphazardly distributing our limited supply of face masks.
Below is a list of local organizations and churches that have agreed to help distribute these masks. If you meet the criteria above and are in need of a mask please call the phone number listed and arrange for a pick-up at the location most convenient for you. Some of these locations are only able to operate during certain hours so please remember to call beforehand.
These additional organizations have received masks from our office (If we are allocated more masks, we will update this list with new pickup locations):
St. Philip Presbyterian Church (713) 622-4807
St. Luke's United Methodist Church (713) 622-5710
Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism (713) 782-4162
Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church (713) 490-9544
These organizations received an allotment of masks on Monday:
