Westchase District issued the following announcement on June 1.
For three months people stayed at home while their exercise routines went idle. Because how we work-out involves customized and individually-designed programs, gym closures made it difficult to continue well-established routines.
Many at-home spaces lack nautilus machines, treadmills, free weights and indoor studios for cardio and pilates.
In Westchase District there is no shortage of fitness centers. As restrictions on gym use were recently lifted, many in the District have reopened. Blink Fitness was the newest gym to enter Westchase, opening its location at 11145 Westheimer in December.
For now, Blink’s reopened Texas clubs will be operating at 25 percent capacity on a first come, first served basis. Consistent with CDC and local guidelines, Blink recommends members wear masks when entering the gym and when they are within six feet of another person.
Once all Texas gyms reopen all memberships will be unfrozen, and billing will resume on a normal schedule. The company recognizes that not everybody will be ready to come back to the gym right away, and is offering all members the option to refreeze their membership for an additional 30 days at no cost.
“We look forward to confidently welcoming our members back,” said Blink Fitness CEO, Todd Magazine. “I know I speak for the entire Blink family when I say we’re all excited to resume playing a supportive role in the fitness journeys of our members.”
