Memorial Super Neighborhood issued the following announcement on July 27.
The 10th Annual Mayor’s Back 2 School Fest Presented by Shell will be staged to accommodate necessary CDC protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, it will take place as a drive-through event in the NRG Yellow Parking Lot on Friday & Saturday, August 7-8, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We have partnered with the Houston Food Bank and will distribute food, masks, backpacks, and school supplies for Houston-area elementary students and their families.
**We need help with backpack assembly at the Houston Food Bank and the day of the event.**
