City to host job fair with 1,300 opportunities on October 22

The City of Houston will host a job fair at the Turnaround Houston Readiness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 22. 

“Turnaround Houston will connect job seekers to dozens of hiring employers in many industries, including with the City of Houston,” Mayor Sylvester Turner said. “I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity, which you can access virtually at no cost.”

According to organizers, there will be 1,300 jobs available at this event. Job seekers can meet with hiring managers and company representative, in addition to receiving Information regarding job readiness tools, training and continued education.

“The City of Houston, along with our partners, remains committed to assisting Houstonians to find opportunities for gainful employment," OBO Director Marsha Murray said. "We encourage everyone who is on a job search to sign up for this event.”

To register for the event, residents can register online.
