WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) responded to President Joe Biden's State of the Union address with a critical statement. Nehls expressed his views on Biden's speech and the current state of the nation.
“President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address just goes to show how out of touch with reality he really is,” said Congressman Nehls. Nehls criticized Biden for what he perceived as a disconnect from the realities faced by Americans.
Nehls continued, “Despite what he says, he has the full authority to secure our borders—he just refuses to use it. American families are struggling to put food on the table, and our country is no longer respected.” The congressman highlighted issues such as border security and economic challenges that he believes are not being adequately addressed by the current administration.
In his statement, Nehls remarked, "This speech had very little substance and didn’t address the real problems facing our country and the American people." He expressed disappointment in the lack of focus on what he considers to be the crucial issues affecting the nation.
