Harris County GOP stated that Kamala Harris is "not welcome in Houston." This statement was made in a July 25 post on X.

"Kamala is not welcome in Houston," said County GOP.

According to the Harris County Republican Party, Chairman Cindy Siegel commented on Kamala Harris's decision to speak at a teachers' union event in Texas instead of addressing the border situation, which Siegel identified as a significant concern for Texas voters. She said that Harris's actions seemed to overlook the state's primary issues.

"Kamala Harris coming to Texas to speak at a teachers' union event with no plans to visit the border is exactly what I would expect from her; it's another example of her indifference to the real issues Texans are facing," said Siegel. "The border crisis is the number one issue for Texas voters. So, naturally, she is coming to Houston to talk to a group of woke educators rather than make a trip to our southern border."

Cindy Siegel currently serves as the Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, representing one of the largest counties in the United States. She was a congressional candidate in 2020 and has frequently acted as an election judge in her precinct. Her prior roles include serving as Second Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Audit Committee for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, according to House.gov.

The Harris County Republican Party is an organization that emphasizes conservative values, advocating for limited government, individual liberties, and economic growth. They support the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights and emphasize the importance of fair and transparent elections. The party also focuses on public safety, opposing policies they see as weakening law enforcement, and advocates for educational reform to ensure academic freedom and prevent indoctrination, according to their Who We Are webpage.
